Ms Aileen LeeAileen has been in the beauty industry for more than 15 years. Having worked with international brands like YSL, Shu Uemura, Avon, Marbert, Kose and L’Oreal, she was not only trained in the proper skincare regime, facial techniques but was also trained in make-up techniques, both Western and Eastern approach and style. She is also well qualified in special effects and face painting.
Aileen holds the honour of being the first non-Japanese to be trained in Japan’s Shu Uemura Advanced Course in Japan. In an artistic form, make-up demonstration is more than just technical skill. The whole approach extends to the realm of creativity and philosophy; an art form with music and graceful strokes. She was Shu Uemura principal make-up artist and trainer for Singapore and Malaysia. She was also instrumental in the design and development of Shu Uemura’s Art of make-up Courses (I & II) workshops for customers, used subsequently by Shu Uemura Japan for other markets. Aileen has also performed skincare demonstrations, make-up demonstrations, new product launches and training classes in Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, India and Japan. She has conducted fragrance classes for distributors and Duty free staff in Singapore, Malaysia, Bangkok and Hong Kong. She develops concepts for international fashion houses such as Junko Koshino, Max Mara, Karl Lagerfeld, Leonard, etc as well as leading magazines. Having worked with international fashion houses and magazines, Aileen counts her proudest moment was when her make-up concept were accepted by owner and designer of Leonard de Paris, Mr. Tribouillard for his international shows, something that remained elusive in his 30 years in international fashions. For three consecutive years, she was invited to create make-up concepts for the President’s Charity Ball Fashion Show. Aileen specializes in combining the widest range of colours yet achieving perfect harmony to draw out the special beauty for each and every individual. With the studying of face shapes, personality and colours, Aileen goes beyond just putting colours on the face. Aileen believes that good skin is the foundmental basis to a good makeup and make-up in turn is an enhancement of one’s beauty. |
